I’m really trying to make my chicken coop / run a permanent structure that the kids and future grandkids can experience. We’re installing a window/door low enough for a toddler to feed the chickens.
We’ll also be planting huckleberry seeds and baking basic bread and cinnamon rolls from the King Arther Baking School book. I’m still practicing. I get better with each batch.
Renae was trapped in hustle culture until 2022. Like many before her, she discovered true freedom through self reliance. Renae had 0% experience in homesteading and chicken coop building. She wants to film her journey as Renae learns and builds. Some day, Renae plans to use the footage to help other newbies feel comfortable in making the drastic change from Corporate American to slowsteading.
