I can’t believe it’s finally done. I would love to help any newbies getting started with chickens. It’s easier than you think. Let me know if you have any questions. – Renae
My chicken coop’s run is 12X16 and on a slope. It’s not perfect but it’s functional and the chickens are happy. My biggest regret is not paying more for a better roof though. I’m going to save my money and get that figured out next year.
Feel free to ask me questions in the comments. I love to hear from you and I want to help as many people as I can!

Renae was trapped in hustle culture until 2022. Like many before her, she discovered true freedom through self reliance. Renae had 0% experience in homesteading and chicken coop building. She wants to film her journey as Renae learns and builds. Some day, Renae plans to use the footage to help other newbies feel comfortable in making the drastic change from Corporate American to slowsteading.
